It’s been a few months since my last Current Obsessions. Apart from trying not to overplay Lady Gaga’s amazing album and deep dives into the catalogs of Justin Timberlake and Alice in Chains – no, I’m not kidding LOL – here are some recent releases that I have been obsessing over.
Olly Alexander Whisper in the Waves It’s simply beautiful.
Ezra Collective God Gave Me Feet for Dancing Shoutout to my dear UK friend SW for putting me on this five-member London Afrobeat-Jazz band. Their music, especially this song, has been in this Muser’s heavy rotation. As always, UK for the win.
Evanescence The Afterlife When that first chorus hits, I just smile and feel all the good feels of having Amy Lee in my life.
Elton John and Brandi Carlisle Little Richard’s Bible If I close my eyes, I could imagine I’m listening to ‘70s Elton. But why close your eyes when you can witness a legend still being legendary in 2025? What a performance!
Eden Golan Wait for You She was one of my faves with Hurricane from Eurovision (5th place) last year. I loves me a sappy, big chorus, movie-themish ballad.
Santana Stranger in Moscow From Carlos’ new album Sentient, a compilation of unreleased tracks and previously released collaborations. This is a gorgeous instrumental cover of Michael Jackson’s song from his 1995 album, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I.

Some sting choices here my lovely friend. JT for the win though! Xx
